Making a Sourdough Starter

I thought it would be interesting to have a go at making my own starter. We are currently on lockdown due to the Covid19 virus, so back to basics is good to learn. I will add the photos as I go along, fingers crossed it works!

Day1. 50g pl flour/50ml water mix together and loosely cover, leave it
Day 2. Feed it with 50g pl flour/50ml water mix together, cover and leave
Day 3. Discard 100g and feed the rest with 100g pl flour/100ml water mix together and leave
Day 4. Discard 100g and feed the rest with 100g pl flour/100ml water mix together and leave
Day 5. It should be starting to ferment. Discard 200g and feed the rest with 150g pl flour/150ml water mix together and leave
Day 6. Discard 250g and feed the rest with 200g pl flour/200ml water mix together and leave
Day7. It should now be smelling lovely and yeasty and will be ready to use
